SUPER 60

This tour is one of our favourites. We have ridden it many times and have always said it would make a fantastic overnight tour - so here it is! The tour starts in Cirencester for night one where you can explore the capital of the Cotswolds. Leaving the next day for a 30 mile route out to Bibury, Burford  and ending Day 1 in Stow on the Wold. After an explore and restful evening day two visit the beautiful Slaughters, the famous Bourton on the Water before looping back round towards The Cotswold Water Park and back into Cirencester. This tour is aimed at two cycling days but can be done in as many days as you like.

 Day 1 - Our Super 60 starts in the beautiful Capital of the Cotswolds - Cirencester. You may want to spend some time exploring the town before heading of on your days cycle. Todays route is 31 miles to give you plenty of time to stop an explore the many beautiful Cotswold towns and villages such as Ampney Crucis, Barnsley, Bibury - you may wish to pay a visit to the trout farm or walk along Arlington Row, said to be one of the most photographed places in the world. You continue onto Coln St Aldwyns, Burford, Bledington and stopping over night in Stow on the Wold. While in Stow you may wish to look for the magical Yew tree which is said to have inspired J.R.R Tolkien and the Doors of Durin in the lord of the ring. Tonight accommodation is within walking distance to the town centre to give you plenty of opportunities to visit a number of shops, bars and eateries.  Todays route has a mix of undulating hills and a couple of tougher climbs to get you heart going!

Day 2 - After a good nights sleep and breakfast you head out on day 2 and back towards Cirencester. Today you cover 31 miles and the day starts with a lovely long downhill through lower Swell and Lower Slaughter and its beautiful water mill. You then head onto Bourton on the Water - The Venice of the Cotswolds. As you leave Bourton on the Water you follow beautiful quiet country lanes past Northleach, Coln Rogers and Fosse Cross - why not stop at The Stump for the best Pizza and Beer around!
